Japan's Riri Kitazume produced a superb display to clinch her first Aerobic Gymnastics World Championships gold medal as she won the women's individual final in Guimarães in Portugal.

Ziubina, a member of the victorious Russian trio earlier on, was 0.550 adrift having scored 21.450.

Anna Bullo snuck into the bronze medal position on a score of 21.000.

The Russian team of Ziubina, Ekaterina Pykhtova, Elena Ivanova took gold in the trio event as their routine yielded an impressive total of 22.466 points.

It was enough to beat the Chinese team of Xi Yuefeng, Tao Xu and Wang Haoyu, who were forced to settle for the silver medal after finishing 0.116 points adrift of their Russian rivals.

China also came bronze as the trio comprised of Ma Dong, Xu Xuesong Li Lingxiao after they scored 22.150.
