World champion Tin Srbić enjoyed a home victory today in the horizontal bars at the International Gymnastics Federation World Challenge Cup in Osijek in Croatia.

It came as Diana Varinska also earned two more gold medals in the women's competitions to bring her tally to three after two days of competition.

Srbić was the home favourite but had been narrowly beaten in qualifying by Cypriot star Marios Georgiou, a two-time champion at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast last month.

But Georgiou produced an error-strewn performance and only finished seventh today as Srbić took gold with 14.700 points.

Robert Tvorogol of Lithuania was second with 13.667 and there was bronze for Taha Serhani of Switzerland, with 13.633.

Varinska won the uneven bars yesterday and followed that with floor and beam successes today.

The Ukrainian scored 13.000 points to win in front of Barbora Mokosova of Slovakia, second with 12.633 points, and Laura Jacob of Romania, third with 12.467.

She then added the floor crown with a score of 13.367.

Zsofia Kovacs of Hungary was second with 12.800 and there was bronze for Anamaria Ocolisan of Romania, with 12.733.

Other winners today at the Gradski Vrt Sports Hall included Denis Abliazin of Russia on the rings and Andrey Medvedev of Israel in the vault.

Abliazin scored 15.067 points to beat Ibrahim Colak of Turkey, second with 14.667, and Ali Zahran of Egypt, third with 14.400.

Medvedev's score of 14.733 was enough to defeat Great Britain's Dominick Cunningham, who scored 14.500 for second place, and Nicola Bartolini of Italy, who managed 14.567 for third.
