A total of 63 people have been honoured with the Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa award for voluntary work at a ceremony in Zallaq.
The award recognises those who have volunteered in the field of sport.
The fourth edition of the award included four different categories - national team managers, international referees, team supervisors and media representatives.
Recipients were given their prize at a ceremony attended by various sports officials in the country, including Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Honorary BOC President Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al Khalifa was tasked with presenting the awards by Shaikh Nasser.
Bahrain's Youth and Sports Minister Hisham Al Jowder was among those to attend the event.
The BOC President praised those receiving the award for their help and effort in developing youth sport in Bahrain.
Shaikh Nasser also noted that this award has many advantages in an attempt to encourage voluntary work in the field of sports.
Supreme Council for Youth and Sports assistant general secretary and BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar also congratulated the award winners.
As well as the prize giving, attendees at the ceremony at the Sofitel Hotel were treated to a performance from British magician Matt Parro.
The ceremony then concluded with a speech from Shaikh Isa, whom the award is named after.
