Six of the world’s best male sitting volleyball national teams will face-off at the Super 6, set to start tomorrow in Tabriz in Iran.

This will be the second edition of the international competition, which only included women’s teams last year and saw Russia taking the gold medal in Hangzhou in China.

The forthcoming event will feature reigning world champions Bosnia and Herzegovina, Paralympic gold medallists Iran, Germany, currently ranked sixth in the world, Russia, ranked ninth, fifth-ranked Ukraine and the United States, ranked eighth.

Competition will start in a round-robin format, with all six teams facing each other once and the overall best two qualifying for the final on April 24.

The third and fourth-placed teams are due to play for the bronze medal.

Tomorrow’s first round games are scheduled see Germany playing Ukraine, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina versus the US and then Iran facing Russia.
