Fourth seed Mark Caljouw recovered from a game down to surprise competition favourite Sameer Verma to book his place in tomorrow's Badminton World Federation (BWF) Orléans Masters final at the Palais des Sports.

It had looked like it was going to go Verma’s way as the Indian recorded a 21-18 victory in the first game.

Dutchman Caljouw, however, had other ideas and responded brilliantly to win the next two games by convincing scores of 21-13 and 21-12.

The Japanese is now scheduled to face number two seed Mia Blichfeldt of Denmark after she defeated Indonesia's Ruselli Hartawan 21-17, 21-15.
