Gerflor are one of the world's leading sport flooring suppliers and own three brands called Taraflex, Sport Court and Connor Sports.

Taraflex supply flooring to several international governing bodies including the International Table Tennis Federation, the International Handball Federation and the Asian Football Confederation.

Sport Court and Connor Sports both supply flooring to some of the world’s leading basketball competitions, sanctioned by the International Basketball Federation.

Gerflor claim to be the world's most used surface for international sporting events and are said to be recognised for their emphasis on innovation and development.

The deal between Gerflor and the OCA, which will run until 2020, will see the two organisations share their expertise.

Gerflor will support the OCA by providing sport floors to emerging nations and promoting sports participation, while the OCA will help Gerflor by enabling them to strengthen their brand in Asian markets.

The OCA's Asian Games department director Haider Farman expressed his delight at the agreement.

"Gerflor's innovative and state-of-the-art flooring provides the OCA's competitions with the best surfaces for the world's top athletes to compete on at the highest level," he said.

"The OCA is proud to become a partner with Gerflor, which will play a key role in the development of the Asian sport events and looks ahead to important milestones including the Asian Games in Indonesia in August 2018."

Gerflor's sport federations and events manager Lionel Arlin added: "Gerflor is proud to become the official OCA partner and to provide to all Asian players, from beginners to seasoned professionals, the highest standards in safety and performance.
