The International Tennis Federation (ITF) have announced that the ITF Beach Tennis World Team Championship will return to Russian capital Moscow for the second straight year.

The tournament will take place in August with Venezuela looking like they could be among the favourites to win the event.

The Venezuelan junior teams were impressive in 2017 and finished fifth in both of the last two World Team Championships, and their professional players will be looking to step up and mount a challenge this year.

Reigning champions Italy will, of course, also be highly fancied as they look for their second straight title in Moscow.

Brazil and hosts Russia are two of the other teams to look out for.

The ITF Beach Tennis World Team Championship will see a 24-team main draw held following a qualifying competition which takes place in the preceding days.

This year's tournament will also see the return of the junior competition, which was first launched in 2015.

The under-14 event allows youngsters to gain experience for the future.
