Argentina took a grip on the inaugural International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Blind Football World Grand Prix in Tokyo today.

The Rio 2016 Paralympic bronze medallists are the only unbeaten side following today’s 5-0 win over France in Group B.

Japan, who beat England 2-1 in their opening Group A match, lost 2-0 to Turkey at the Shinagawa Tennozu Park in the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic host city yesterday.

Argentina had beaten Russia 3-0 in their opening game.

In today's development game, Japan drew 1-1 with Belgium.

IBSA announced the creation of the tournament in October with the aim of building excitement for the 2020 Paralympic Games in Japan's capital.

Blind football is a five-a-side sport and featured at the Paralympics for the first time at Athens 2004.

It has been contested at every Games since with Brazil winning every gold medal.
