The country completed a clean sweep of the gold medals at Pyeongchang 2018 last month and will now look to add home success with all four remaining competitions this season taking place on German snow.

Two of those will take place in Klingenthal over the next two days at the Vogtland Arena venue.

Home stars in action will include Eric Frenzel and Johannes Rydzek, the large hill and normal hill champions in Pyeongchang respectively.

Vinzenz Geiger and Fabian Rießle, who joined up with the two individual champions to bag team Olympic gold, are also due to compete.

However, both Rydzek, who won four world titles in Lahti last year, and Frenzel, who was looking for a sixth overall World Cup title in a row, are out of contention for this year's overall World Cup crown.

Japan's Akito Watabe, who won the second normal hill Olympic silver medal of his career in Pyeongchang, instead leads the way with a 178 point lead over Norway's Jan Schmid.

With 400 points left available they are the only two athletes in with a realistic shot of the overall title with Rießle 384 points behind in third.

Watabe also leads the best jumper standings with Italy's Alessandro Pittin currently sitting at the summit of the best skier rankings.

After Klingenthal, the season will conclude with the World Cup Final in Schonach next weekend.

Two more races will be held at the German resort.
