Sophie Hahn beat British team-mate Georgina Hermitage in the final of the T35-38 200 metres today as the World Para Athletics Grand Prix began in Dubai.

Hahn led the British 1-2 in 26.96sec at the Dubai Club for the Disabled track in the first event of this year's series.

Double Paralympic and world champion Hermitage, who is in the T37 rather than Hahn's T38 category, will be satisfied with second place after recovering from potentially career-ending stress injuries to her feet and legs following her success at last summer’s World Para Athletics Championships in London.

She crossed in 28.41 for second place.

Amal Youssef of Egypt was third in 33.06.
