Hosts The Netherlands have been awarded a wildcard for the men's competition for the next month's Wheelchair Tennis World Team Cup in Apeldoorn.

The six-time champions will now compete in their home city from May 28 until June 3.

South Africa and 2016 champions Australia have also been handed automatic spots in the quad event. 

Australia has also been awarded a wildcard to contest the junior competition for the first time since 2011. 

The event is the International Tennis Federation's flagship wheelchair tennis team competition and is taking place in The Netherlands for the first time.

France are reigning champions in the men's event, while China won the women's competition in 2017 with a shock win over the Dutch.

Great Britain won the quad title for the fifth time since 2001 and United States captured the junior title.

A further wildcard is expected to be awarded for the men's event after the World Team Cup European Qualification tournament due to be held in Vilamoura in Portugal on April 11 to 15..

Qualifiers for the Americas, Africas and Asia and Oceania regions have already taken place.
