Hosts China continued their success in the men and women's 3 metres springboard events today at the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Diving World Series leg in Beijing. 

Reigning world champion Xie Siyi proved utterly dominant in the men's competition at the Water Cube.

He finished on a total of 550.50 points to prove too strong for the rest of a top-class field.

Team-mate Cao Yuan finished in second place on 513.45 points.

Ilia Zakharov of Russia scored 509.00 points for third.

China were similarly dominant in the corresponding women's event.

Shi Tingmao, the reigning world and Olympic champion, won with a score of 392.10 points.

Team-mate Wang Han was the only diver to push her close, as she scored 380.40 points for second place.

Jennifer Abel of Canada posted 354.30 points for bronze.

China have now won all five events contested so far in their home pool.

Men and women's individual 10m platform finals are scheduled for tomorrow.
