It guaranteed the Norwegian victory in the overall World Cup standings.

Lundby leaped 100 metres followed by 97m today for a total score of 257.5 points.

This saw her finish comfortably clear of Germany's second place finisher Katharina Althaus.

"It feels very good to back on top of the podium," said the winner. 

"My jumps were much better today so I'm happy with the competition. 

"I hope I can continue like that until the end of the season and I'm looking forward to jumping on the Holmenkollen [in Oslo] next weekend."

Althaus jumped 94m and 92m for a score of 234.6 points today.

Slovenian 17-year-old Nika Križnar finished third, just 0.1 points further back, to gain a first ever World Cup podium finish.

Lundby now has an unassailable lead of 300 points over Althaus after moving onto 1,120 with just three competitions left. 

If Althaus wins all three and Lundby manages no scoring finishes, they would move level on points, but Lundby would still be crowned the winner by virtue of having more individual victories.

Kamil Stoch continued his Olympic gold medal winning form in a men's large hill event in Lahti elsewhere today.

He leaped 132 and then 134m for a total points score of 314.2. 

Markus Eisenbichler of Germany finished second on 286 with Austria's Stefan Kraft third on 285.9.
