The Czech Republic have unveiled their Para-ice hockey squad for next month's Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang.

Head coach Jiri Briza has named 15 players in his squad, including two goalkeepers, five defenders and eight forwards.

The headline name on the list is defender Pavel Kubes, who was the top Czech goalscorer with five goals at the Pyeongchang 2018 qualification tournament in Ostersund, Sweden, in October.

Kubes will make his third Paralympic Games appearance in South Korea alongside forward Michal Geier, who also impressed in qualification with four goals and three assists.

They will be joined on the Czech team by goalkeepers Michal Vapenka and Martin Kudela, defenders Pavel Dolezal, Miroslav Hrbek, Jiri Raul and Karel Wagner and forwards Zdenek Habil, Zdenek Klima, Zdenek Krupicka, David Motycka, Martin Novak, David Palat and Zdenek Safranek.

The Czech Republic sent a Para-ice hockey team to both Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014 but have never won a medal.

They face a tough group in Pyeongchang, having been drawn in Group B alongside hosts South Korea, Japan and defending Paralympic champions United States.

The competition will be held at the Gangneung Ice Arena from March 10 to 18.
