China dominated the second day of the International Swimming Federation (FINA) Diving Grand Prix season in Rostock, winning gold medals in all four finals.

First to flourish at the Hallenschwimmbad Neptun indoor pool were Xiaohu Tai and Lizhi Coa, who finished more than 40 points cleara in the men’s synchronised event from the 10 metre platform.

The Chinese pair totalled 439.29 poits, with silver going to Britain’s Matthew Lee and Kyle Kothari on 397.65, ahead of Mexico’s Kevin Berlin and Andres Vilarreal, who scored 379.14.

Lizhi swiftly collected another gold, in partnership with the previous day’s winner of the women’s 10m platform, Yajie Si, as they won the new mixed competition from the platform.

This was a closer contest, however, as the Chinese pairing scored 320.91 points, just a little ahead of Britain’s Matthew Lee and Lois Tolson, who totalled 317.88.

The bronze medal went to home pairing Florian Fandler and Tina Punzel, who scored 292.72 points.

Germany, and Punzel, claimed another bronze medal with a score of 342.50.

The day’s action finished as it had started - with a Chinese victory, this time in the men’s 3m synchro as Zong Wang and Zijie Hu topped the list with 422.37 points.

Britain’s Jack and Ross Haslam claimed the silver medals with 407.46 points ahead of Malaysia’s Yiwei Chew and Tze Liang Ooi, who took the bronze with 387.54.

The Grand Prix is due to conclude with the women's 10m synchronised platform and 3m springboard competition, as well as the men's 10m platform event.
