The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Executive Board has confirmed the appointments of a string of subcommittee chairs. 

All of those named were confirmed at a meeting in Danish capital Copenhagen.

According to IBSA, it followed a "stringent" selection process and interviews with the nominees.

Canada's Jane Blaine will chair the Swimming Subcommittee, with Sorin Lapadatu of Romania in charge of the Chess Subcommittee.

The Ten Pin Bowling Subcommittee will be led by Japan's Toshiaki Aomatsu with Andreia Mai of Slovenia leading the body for the nine-pin game.

Britain's Michael Whapples will head up the Shooting Subcommittee and Italy's Massimo Sanapo will be the Showdown Subcomittee chair.

IBSA has also added members to two of its Committees.

Singapore's Ali Bin Daud, Canada's Robert Fenton and Tunisia's Sana Kelifa will all take seats on the Legal and Ethics Committee.

The Medical Committee will welcome Germany's Ludwig Krabbe, Portugal's Jose Luis Doria and Britain's Richard Weiler.
