altSeptember 29 - One of the world’s leading educational groups is backing "young talent" by signing a partnership deal with Commonwealth Games England.

The Amity Global Business School, an elite education institution which has helped more than 60,000 students gain internationally-respected business management qualifications, is hoping to witness similar success by England’s young medal hopefuls.

The team England is sending to Delhi is one of the youngest yet, with competitors including 13-year-old Alicia Blagg in the diving team, fellow diver 16-year old Tom Daley, and 16-year-old weightlifting champion Zoe Smith.

Amity has 80,0000 students studying across campuses in New York, San Francisco, Singapore, London and India and is also the official trainer to the 32,000 people working at the Commonwealth Games.

Atul Chauhan, the chief executive of AKC Group and Chancellor of Amity University, said: "It’s great to associate our world-class school in London with one of the largest and potentially most successful teams travelling to the Games.

"Not only is it a fantastic association for all our students in the UK, but it also helps highlight the fact that we really are a global company."

Craig Hunter, Chef de Mission for the England team, said: “I am delighted that some major sponsors of Delhi 2010 are seeking to extend their Games association by backing our team.

"We are proud to have Amity Global Business School supporting the team as we compete out in Delhi."
