The World Squash Federation (WSF) have awarded Malaysia the rights to host the 2019 World Junior Championships.

The event, which will take place at the Bukit Jalil National Squash Centre in the country's capital Kuala Lumpur, will feature the men and women's WSF World Junior Individual Championships from July 30 to August 4.

They will be followed by the WSF Women's World Junior Team Championship from August 5 to 9.

This will not be the first time Malaysia has hosted a WSF junior event.

The country staged the women's junior team competition in 1993 in Kuala Lumpur, where squash made its Commonwealth Games debut in 1998, before hosting the same competition in 2001 in Penang.

The most recent Women's World Junior Team Championship, which is a biennial event, was held in New Zealand last year with Egypt winning their sixth consecutive title by beating Malaysia in the final.

The next WSF junior tournament will take place in Chennai, India, with the men's and women's individual and men's team competitions set to take place at the Indian Squash Academy and Express Avenue Shopping Centre.
