The Cayman Islands have named 22 athletes across seven sports in their squad to travel to April's Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast.

Five competitors will represent the Cayman Islands in athletics, including 100 metre sprinter Kemar Hyman, 110m hurdler Ronald Forbes and long jumper Carl Morgan, who all competed at Glasgow 2014.

Jaevlin thrower Alex Pascal and Jamal Walton, a 200m and 400m runner, complete the athletics team.

The Cayman Islands' biggest delegation will be the squash team which consists of Glasgow 2014 participants Cameron Stafford and Eilidh Bridgeman along with Jake Kelly, Alex Frazer, Caroline Laing, Marlene West and Samantha Hennings.

The swimming team will feature 50m and 100m freestyle entrant Iain McCallum and 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m freestyle swimmer Alison Jackson.

They will be joined by 50m and 100m breaststroke swimmer David Ebanks and 50m and 200m freestyle and 50m and 100m backstroke competitor Lauren Hew, both of whom will be making their second Games appearances.

Boxers Dariel Ebanks, at 64 kilograms, and Brandy Barnes, at 48 kilograms, have also been picked. 

Rhythmic gymnasts Raegan Rutty and Samantha Peene and road cyclist Michael Testori will make thier Commonwealth Games debuts, while trap shooter Christopher Jackson, who competed at Glasgow 2014, completes the 22-strong team.

The Cayman Islands won their only Commonwealth Games gold medal at Dehli 2010 when Cydonie Mothersill claimed the 200m title.
