The Polish city of Torun is set to host the fifth event of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Indoor Tour tomorrow.

The Copernicus Cup will take place at the Torun Arena with the overall winners of the men's shot put, triple jump and pole vault all set to be decided.

Home athlete Piotr Lisek is the favourite for the pole vault title and will be looking to secure it on home soil.

Lisek won the event at the Düsseldorf leg of the tour and currently tops the rankings on 17 points, two ahead of Konstadinos Filipidis of Greece, who equalled his 5.85 metre national record in Madrid last week.

Pawel Wojciechowski, another home athlete, will be the third name to look out for at the Torun Arena.

He is currently sitting on 10 points in the rankings table but still has a mathematical chance of claiming the title.

Tomáš Staněk of the Czech Republic will be officially crowned as the men's shot put champion in Torun following the withdrawal of Croatia's Stipe Zunic, the only athlete who had a mathematical chance of catching Staněk.

Poland's European indoor champion Konrad Bukowiecki, however, will be looking to rain on Staněk's victory parade.

Former Olympic and world champion Nelson Evora of Portugal is the favourite to win the men's triple jump title after claiming seven points for his 17.30m jump in Madrid.

Cuba's Alexis Copello will be the Portuguese's closest challenger in Torun but he has to win the competition and hope Evora finishes outside of the top two to stand a chance.

Russia's two-time world high jump champion Mariya Lasitskene will be hoping for her 36th straight victory at Torun Arena.

Her closest challenger is likely to be Ukraine's Yuliya Levchenko, who has reached 1.97m this season.

The women's 400m competition should be hotly-contested with Lea Sprunger of Switzerland and Slovenia's Anita Horvat, currently first and second in the rankings, expected to go head-to-head.

World 5,000m champion Hellen Obiri from Kenya will be competing in an indoor 1,500m event for the first time since 2014 and will be looking to record a good time as she continues her preparations for March's World Championships in Birmingham.

With women's 60m hurdles Tour leaders Sharika Nelvis and Christina Manning focusing on the this weekend's US Championships, Germany's Pamela Dutkiewicz and Alina Talay of Belarus, respectively the fourth and sixth fastest this season, will be looking to take advantage.

Jamaica's Everton Clarke is the frontrunner in the men's event.

Also on the track, Adam Kszczot, a multiple world and European medallist, will be looking to please the home crowd by sealing the 800m title with an event to spare.

The IAAF World Indoor Tour will conclude in Glasgow on February 25 before the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham in March.
