The fourth and final stage of the 2017-2018 Indoor Archery World Cup season will take place in world gambling capital Las Vegas, with United States athletes likely to be among the front-runners on home soil.

Paige Pearce-Gore will be hoping to add another Indoor Archery World Cup medal this season in the women’s compound after taking gold and silver in Bangkok and Marrakesh, respectively, earlier in the campaign.

Three-time Olympic medallist Brady Ellison claimed silver in the men’s recurve event at the last World Cup event in Nimes, France, and also finished second in the Las Vegas competition last year, so he will be looking to go one better to claim his first indoor World Cup gold since Marrakesh in 2016.

Steve Wijler of The Netherlands, who beat Ellison in Nimes last time out, is also among the favourites for the men’s recurve title.

World number two Braden Gellenthien, another US competitor, will be looking to bounce back from his disappointing last two tournaments, where he finished fifth and ninth respectively, by claiming gold in the men’s compound.

Gellenthien had taken the title in Marrakech prior to the two competitions in Nimes and Bangkok.

South Korea’s Kim Surin will be looking for a second gold of the season after taking the women’s recurve title in Nimes last time out whilst compatriot Sim Yeji, who lost out in that gold medal final, will be looking to go one better in Las Vegas.

The event gets underway tomorrow (February 9) with qualification before the medal finals the following day (February 10).
