Singapore qualified for the Men’s World Floorball Championships by winning Group B ©IFF

Singapore secured their spot at the International Floorball Federation (IFF) Men's World Championships with an 11-1 victory over Malaysia on the final day of group stage action at the Asia-Oceania Qualifying Tournament in South Korea.

This result means Singapore win Group B and join Australia at next December's event in Prague.

Australia booked their place at the tournament by winning Group A yesterday.

Despite securing qualification yesterday, Australia did not take their foot off the gas and thrashed China 26-1 in their game today at Hanrim Sports Complex on Jeju Island.

Both Australia and Singapore have also advanced straight to the final.

Thailand secured second place in Group A after beating hosts South Korea 12-0 and will now face New Zealand in a semi-final.

New Zealand lost 3-1 at the hands of Japan in a close game meaning they finish third and will face South Korea in the other semi-final.

The winner of the semi-final matches will advance to a third-place play-off, with both nations also sealing the final two qualification spots available for Prague.

The World Championships are due to take place in the Czech capital from December 1 to 9.
