A guidebook has been published in South Korea to provide information to spectators wishing to attend cultural events at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics.

The book was created by South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with the Gangwon Provincial Government.

It has been published in both Korean and English, with 100-pages of information aimed at giving useful information about the cultural activities surrounding the Games.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated the book has been split into six different chapters, based upon themes.

Themes include performance, exhibition, experience, education, festival and on-site programmes.

The book contains a list of recommendations of activities taking place in Pyeongchang throughout the Games.

It also includes cultural events being held in Gangneung and Jeongseon, which are also due to stage sporting competition next month.

The book is expected to be available at train stations throughout South Korea, as well as at airports and tourist information centres.

Art exhibitions, K-pop concerts and light shows are among the activities included in the programmes, which will run throughout the duration of the Games.

The Winter Olympics are due to begin on February 9 and will run until February 25.

It will be followed by the Paralympic Games between March 8 and 18.
