India beat rivals Pakistan by two wickets in the final of the fifth Blind Cricket World Cup in Sharjah today.

This was the second time that India had beaten Pakistan in the tournament following a victory in the group stage on January 12.

The Indians won the toss and elected to field in today's final at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the United Arab Emirates with Pakistan making a score of 308 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their 40 overs.

The standout players in a good Pakistan batting display were Badar Munir, who scored 57, Riasat Khan, who hit 48, and captain Nisar Ali who added 47 runs to his team's total.

Despite Pakistan having laid down a good total in their first innings, India, who won the tournament in 2014, managed to knock it off in just 38.2 overs, also for the loss of eight wickets.

Captain Sunil Ramesh scored an unbeaten 93 for his side in the second innings.

Ajay Tiwari was similarly impressive with his score of 62.

India have now equalled Pakistan's record of two Blind Cricket World Cup wins.
