Nico Walther and brakeman Christian Poser set a track record in their second run as they led a German clean sweep of the men's two-man event at the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation World Cup in St Moritz.

The German duo completed the fast course in run two in 1min 05.10sec as they ended with an overall time of 2:10.72.

World champion Francesco Friedrich and his brakeman Thorsten Margis led going into the second run but were 0.05 slower than their counterparts.

Third place went to Johannes Lochner and Christopher Weber, who were 0.21 adrift of their victorious team-mates,

Justin Kripps of Canada remains the overall leader and is in pole position to clinch the title in Königssee next week.

Kripps, fourth alongside Jesse Lumsden today, has a total of 1,431 points, while Friedrich is second on 1,279.

Canadian Chris Spring sits third on 1,259.

Elana Meyers Taylor, of the United States, secured her first two-woman win of the season alongside Lolo Jones as the duo set a track record on their way to an impressive triumph.

The American driver, the current world champion, and Jones clocked a record time of 1min 07.40sec in their second run as they recorded a combined 2:15.27 to take victory.

Mariama Jamanka and Annika Drazek of Germany were 0.21 seconds adrift in silver medal position.

European Champion Stephanie Schneider and her brakewoman Lisa Buckwitz rounded off the podium as they finished third.

Olympic Champion Kaillie Humphries, who struggled today and could only manage ninth alongside Phylicia George, still leads the way in the race for the overall title.

The Canadian has a total of 1,421 points, with Taylor second on 1,391.

Jamanka follows in third as she has amassed 1,346 points.

The event in St Moritz concludes tomorrow.
