Marie Bochet of France will be hoping to again sweep the top prizes at the next World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup in Kranjska Gora, after doing so at the opening two events of the season.

Bochet, who claimed four gold medals at Sochi 2014, is the clear favourite in the women's standing slalom event after taking six gold medals in the opening two events of the season.

However, Slovakia’s Petra Smarzova, who is still second in the rankings despite only winning bronze last time out, will be looking to take advantage of any slip-ups.

Austria's Claudia Lösch, a seven-time Paralympic medallist, is being tipped to win the sitting event in the Slovenian Alpine resort as she currently leads the rankings by 40 points.

There is, however, more competition in the visually impaired women's slalom with Henrieta Farkasova of Slovakia and Australia's Melissa Perrine currently joint-top of the leaderboard on 200 points.

Perrine will be looking to follow up her win in Zagreb whilst Farkasova will be hoping to at least claim a medal after failing to finish the last race.

Russian Aleksei Bugaev, who is competing as a neutral athlete, will be the favourite in the men's standing as he has already secured three World Cup wins this season.

However, France's Arthur Bachet, one of the favourites for the title before the World Cup campaign began, will also fancy his chances, despite failing to win a World Cup medal so far this campaign.

Even though he is going through a World Cup medal-drought this season, four-time Paralympic champion Jakub Krako of Slovakia is among the favourites to take the men's visually impaired title, although compatriot Miroslav Haraus is also an outsider for the event.

The closest men's competition is likely to be the sitting event with Norway's Jesper Pedersen, Poland's Igor Sikorski, France's Frederic Francois and Croatia's Dino Sokolovic all looking to add to the gold medals they have won already this season.

The event in Kranjska Gora will take place from tomorrow (January 11) to January 12.
