Hosts Al Jazira defeated Asian champions Urawa Red Diamonds 1-0 in Abu Dhabi to set up a FIFA Club World Cup semi-final clash with favourites Real Madrid.

The Japanese side domited but it was Ali Mabkhout who scored the winner seven minutes after half-time at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in the United Arab Emirates capital. 

It earns them a prestigious match against the European champions Real Madrid, who received a bye into the semi-final, at the at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain on Wednesday (December 13). 

Mexico's Pachuca also reached the last four with a hard-fought 1-0 extra-time victory over Morocco's Wydad Casablanca after extra time in the earlier match at the Zayed Sports City Stadium.

Victor Guzman scored the only goal of the match for the Caribbean and North and Central American champions in the 112th minute. 

African champions Wydad played with 10 men from the 69th minute after captain Brahim Nakach was sent-off following a second yellow card before a crowd of 12,488. 

Pachuca are now due to face Copa Libertadores winners Gremio of Brazil in the semi-finals at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain on Tuesday (December 12).

The Brazilians, like the European champions Real Madrid, have a bye into the last four.
