Britain's Gordon Reid will take on compatriot Alfie Hewett in a repeat of last year's Paralympic Games gold medal match for the NEC Wheelchair Masters title after both players won their semi-finals in Loughborough today.

Paralympic gold medallist Reid booked his place in his second Wheelchair Masters final with a confident 7-5, 6-4 victory over Japan’s three-time champion Shingo Kunieda at the Loughborough Tennis Centre.

Hewett then overaome Belgium's Joachim Gerard with an impressive 6-0, 6-2 win.

The results guarantee a Briton will lift the men's singles crown at the Wheelchair Masters for the first time in the event's history.

"I’ve had a very tough week, both mentally and physically and to have a performance like that I’m quite shocked to be honest," Hewett said.

"It’s probably the best match I’ve ever played and to do it at this stage of the season and with today being such a big match and going through to the final, I couldn’t be happier."

World number one Yui Kamiji of Japan secured her spot in the final of the women's tournament after she beat Marjolein Buis of The Netherlands 6-3, 6-2.

Diede de Groot awaits in the final after the Dutchwoman ousted compatriot Aniek Van Koot 6-0, 7-6.

Andy Lapthorne will have the chance to add to the British success as he reached the final of the quad singles competition by sweeping aside South Africa's Lucas Sithole 6-0, 6-2.

David Wagner, the world number one, will go up against Lapthorne after the American dispatched Heath Davidson of Australia 6-1, 6-0.

The tournament concludes with all three finals tomorrow.
