Norway's Christian Nummedal and Switzerland's Giulia Tanno each enjoyed big air victories this evening at the International Ski Federation Freestyle World Cup event in Mönchengladbach.

Nummedal produced a strong score of 183.20 points to win the men's competition at Sparkassen Park and gain maximum World Cup points.

Oscar Wester of Sweden posted 180,80 points for second place.

Nummedal was joined by another Norwegian, Oystein Braaten, on the podium. 

He took third place with 176.00 points.

Elias Ambuehl of Switzerland finished a disappointing ninth today but still shared the overall Big Air World Cup lead with Nummedal.

They both have 129 points, while Braaten occupies third place with 110.

Tanno led a Swiss 1-2 in the corresponding women's competition.

She scored 174,60 points for a comfortable victory as Sarah Hoefflin accrued 166,80 for second place.

Dominique Ohaco of Chile posted 152.606 points for bronze.

Tanno also leads the World Cup standings with 160 points.

Hoefflin is second with 130 and Ohaco third with 105.
