South Korea won the title in both the compound and recurve mixed team events at the 2017 Asian Archery Championships in Dhaka.

The final of the compound mixed team at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Bangladesh's capital saw a close contest between South Korea's So Chaewon and Kim Jongho and India's Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Abhishek Verma.

It was the Koreans who eventually came out on top.

The first set demonstrated how close this match was going to be as it ended in a 39-39 draw.

The Koreans managed to narrowly win the middle two sets with aggregate scores of 78-77 and 117-114 in the second and third set respectively, giving them the edge in the match.

The final set was once again a tie which meant So and Kim clinched the gold medal with a final score of 157-153.

The bronze medal match was also decided by just four points with Kazakhstan overcoming Chinese Taipei 155-151.

The gulf in class between the two sides in the final of the mixed team recurve event was far more evident as South Korea took their second title of the day with a comfortable 6-2 win over Japan.

There was a brief challenge from the Japanese pair of Hiroki Muto and Chinatsu Kubara in the second set as they emerged 2-0 victors.

These, however, were their only points of the day as the South Korean duo of Choi Minseon and Kim Jongho, competing in his second final of the day, raced away with the lead before taking the match 6-2.

The battle for third place between Vietnam and Mongolia was far closer and came down to set points following a 17-17 set draw.

Thi Dao Loc and Duc Anh Chu of Vietnam eventually won by five set points to four.
