The Bahamas will target a third consecutive World Baseball Softball Confederation Co-Ed Slow Pitch World Cup title during the upcoming tournament in Florida.

The Caribbean nation won the 2014 and 2016 editions of the event and will bid for a hat-trick of World Cups at the competition at the Plant City Stadium.

They are one of seven teams who will battle it out for the crown during the tournament, which runs from tomorrow until Sunday (November 19).

Bulgaria, Canada, Curaçao, Great Britain, the  Turks and Caicos Islands and the United States are the other nations due to compete.

The Bahamas are due to play three round robin matches on the opening day of the event.

They will take on Bulgaria, the Turks and Caicos Islands and the US.

Co-ed slow pitch features both male and female athletes playing together alongside one another on the field.

Each team is allowed a maximum of 20 players, with no fewer than five being of one gender.

The Bahamas earned victory in 2016 by beating Britain 22-11.
