Slovenia's Janja Garnbret impressed in front of a home crowd at the International Federation of Sport Climbing Lead World Cup in Kranj.

The 18-year-old sealed the overall lead and combined titles in Xiamen in China last month and she led the women's semi-final today by topping the wall at the Zlato Polje Halle.

Anak Verhoeven of Belgium, Jain Kim of South Korea and Mina Markovic of Slovenia also reached the top after their runs.

In the men's competition nobody reached the top but Austria's Jakob Schubert managed a high-point of 40 to lead the semi-final.

Stefano Ghisolfi of Italy scored 39 to sit second with three climbers on 38.

Champions will be crowned in Kranj tomorrow when the finals will be held.
