Brazil and Ghana have completed the quarter-final line-up at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India after comfortable victories over Honduras and Niger.

Two goals by Brenner and a Marcos Antonio strike helped Brazil set up a mouth-watering last eight tie with Germany in Kolkata on Sunday after a 3-0 victory over Honduras at the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium in Kochi.

Ghana will meet 2015 runners-up Mali in Guwahati on Saturday after beating Niger 2-0 at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

Brenner gave Brazil the perfect platform with an early goal as he finished a flowing move to convert Alan’s low cross from close range.

Honduras' Luis Palma hammered a close-range shot against the post before, just a minute before half-time, Antonio accepted Paulinho’s precise through-ball and slotted a brilliantly-taken first-time shot past goalkeeper Alex Rivera.

Brazil further extended their lead through a second goal from Brenner before the hour with Honduras striker Carlos Mejia also hitting the post.

Ghana captain Eric Ayiah scored a penalty in first-half stoppage time to set them on their way to victory.

A second Ayiah penalty was saved by Niger goalkeeper Khaled Lawali four minutes from the end but the Black Starlets were not to be denied for long as substitute Richard Danso wrapped up the win with Ghana's second goal in the final minute.

Coach Samuel Fabin's side are looking to win the tournament for the third time after previous triumphs in 1991 and 1995.

Ghana now face a Mali team who had beaten them 1-0 in the final of the Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

They will be buoyed by a dominant performance over Niger whose resistance was broken in the third minute of first-half injury time when Farouk Idrissa’s clumsy tackle on Ayiah resulted in a spot-kick. Ayiah sent keeper Khaled Lawali the wrong way to give Ghana a much-deserved lead.

In the dying minutes Niger conceded another penalty when Idrissa brought down Emmanuel Toku. Ayiah's spot-kick was saved by Lawali but Danso’s long range strike in the last minute sealed the victory.

The other quarter-finals see the USA face England on October 21 in Margao, and Spain face Iran in Kochi on October 22.
