Three leading South Korean taekwondo masters have been working in Durban, South Africa, in a bid to pass on their experience to young people and evaluate standards.

Master Jung Hyun Cho, who is normally based in his adopted country's capital of Pretoria, is the technical director for taekwondo in South Africa, while Master Yun is the senior master for the sport in KwaZulu-Natal.

A seminar in Durban's Siripat Road grounds was attended by students from the University of Zululand, the University of KwaZulu-Natal and the Clare Estate and Reservoir Hills taekwondo clubs.

Master Billy, who is the chief instructor at the latter three clubs, organised the event to ensure students could train with top students in the region.

Cho focused on proper techniques in executing kicks, punches, blocks and combat fighting.

The masters were very pleased with the students' performance and plan a larger seminar in 2018.
