US Open squash winners Ali Farag and Nour El Tayeb will hope to continue their fine form at next month's 2017 Cathay Pacific Sun Hung Kai Financial Hong Kong Open, with tickets now on sale.

They became the first married couple to win the same singles titles on the same day at the US Open last week.

El Tayeb, 24, beat Raneem El Welily 3-2 in the women's final and a few hours later, Farag, 25, beat Mohamed Elshorbagy 3-0 in the men's final.

They were the first major World Series titles for the Egyptian nationals who married last year.

Tickets for the 2017 Hong Kong Open have now gone on sale, with squash fans having the opportunity to watch the world's best players in action between November 14 and 19.

Last year's champions Ramy Ashour and Nouran Gohar will return to defend their titles in the third World Series tournament of the season.

The event takes place at the Hong Kong Squash Centre between November 14 and 16 and at a glass court erected at the arena of the Hong Kong Park Sports Centre between November 17 and 19.

The Hong Kong Open is one of the longest-running tournaments on the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour - having first been held in 1985 - and the 2017 instalment looks set to continue the drama and gripping action that have been synonymous with the tournament over the past 31 years.

"We are pleased to showcase the world’s best players in Hong Kong once again and look forward to hosting what promises to be an exciting tournament," said tournament promoter Emily Mak.

"With a world-class draw battling it out for honours and local stars such as Max Lee, Leo Au, Annie Au, Joey Chan and Liu Tsz Ling certain to appear in the main draw, this year’s edition of the Hong Kong Open looks set to be one of the most compelling in history."

Players will also be competing for points on the World Series Standings as they aim to reach the season-ending PSA World Series Finals - with only the top eight players on the men’s and women’s standings earning a coveted berth.

Farag and El Tayeb currently lead the way on the men's and women's World Series Standings.

The qualifying stages for the 2017 Hong Kong Open take place between November 12 and 13 at the Hong Kong Football Club.

Action from every round of the tournament will be shown live on SQUASHTV and Eurosport Player, while the semi-finals and finals will be shown live on mainstream broadcast channels around the world, including BT Sport, beIN Sports, Fox Sports Australia and Astro.
