Poland’s 30th seeds Kinga Kolosinska and Katarzyna Kociolek continued their remarkable run to reach the final of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Beach World Tour Qinzhou Open today.

The duo stunned second seeds Brooke Sweat and Summer Ross of the United States in straight sets at Haibin Square.

Playing in just their second tournament together, Kolosinska and Kociolek beat the Americans 21-17 and 21-18 in the first semi-final match to record their fourth straight victory.

They also upset American third seeds April Ross and Kelly Claes on their way to the final.

"It was a little bit crazy, because it's so windy and it's very hard to control the ball," said Kociolek.

"But we did our best, we tried to catch every ball and finish every ball.

"I think we deserved to win."

Awaiting them in tomorrow's gold medal match will be Australia's Mariafe Artacho and Taliqua Clancy.

The fifth seeds silenced the home crowd by beating China's top seeds Wang Fan and Xia Xinyi 29-27, 21-18.

Russia’s 15th seeds Maxim Sivolap and Igor Velichko upset third seeds Nadir Diaz Gomez Nivaldo and Bayard Sergio Reynaldo Gonzalez of Cuba in the men’s semi-finals.

After claiming a 21-18, 16-21, 15-10 victory, the Russian pair secured their first medal at a FIVB World Tour event.

Mexico’s fourth seeds Juan Virgen and Lombardo Ontiveros are due to be their opposition in tomorrow’s final.

The South Americans eliminated top seeds Dries Koekelkoren and Tom van Walle of Belgium with a comfortable 21-13, 21-19 victory.

"It was not easy," said Virgen.

"Maybe in the first set, it was rather manageable.

"In the second set, Belgium tried to fight back, while we became a little tired, but thankfully, with Lombardo's final point, we won the match."
