Iran recorded a stunning 4-0 win over Germany to reach the last 16 of the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in India today.

The Iranian side produced a superb performance on their way to a commanding win over their European opponents at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa.

Younes Delfi was the star of the show for Iran as he scored twice, while Allayahr Sayyad and substitute Vahid Namdari also got on the scoresheet in a one-sided Group C encounter.

Delfi opened the scoring after just six minutes before he doubled their advantage just before half-time.

He then turned provider for Sayyad, whose diving header early in the second half effectively ended the match as a contest.

Namdari came off the bench to score the fourth as he rounded off a well-executed counter-attacking move 15 minutes from time.
