China's Gao Lei has won the men's individual trampolining title at the International Gymnastics Federation World Cup event in the Portuguese city of Loulé.

Lei, the Rio 2016 bronze medallist, managed to overcome Belarus' Olympic champion, Uladzislau Hancharou, to win the title on 114.455 points at the Loulé Municipal Sports Hall.

Hancharou was forced to settle for silver on 113.190.

Dmitrii Ushakov of Russia completed the podium, as he took bronze with a score of 113.080.

Russia's Yana Pavlova took the women's title.

The 21-year-old, who claimed gold at the Baku 2015 European Games, claimed the title with an overall score of 105.580.

Tatsiana Piatrenia of Belarus, who finished fifth at Rio 2016, finished in silver medal position on 105.220.

Japan's Reina Satake rounded out the podium on 103.425.

Tumbling competitions were also held with China dominating the women's event.

Jia Fangfang led a one-two for her nation with a score of 72.400.

She finished comfortably in front of compatriot Chen Lingxi, who took silver on 65.800.

Russia's Anna Korobeinikova, who claimed bronze at the 2015 World Championships in Odense, took the bronze on 65.500.

Azerbaijan's Mikhail Malkin won the men's equivalent with a total of 74.200.

Russia's Maxim Shlyakin took the silver medal on 72.600 while Zhang Luo secured yet another medal for China as he claimed bronze on 69.400.
