France's Louis Giard still holds the men's lead at the RS:X Windsurfing World Championships in Japan.

After winning both of his races on the first day of competition yesterday, Giard followed up today with a fifth and second place in Enoshima.

It means he still leads overall with four points after his showing on the Tokyo 2020 Olympic course.

"It was good today," said Giard.

"It was still shifty, but I seemed to go the right way and get two good results.

"I am just happy that I go into the gold fleet racing with all good discards when they come in which is a strong position for me."

Mateo Sanz Lanz from Switzerland claimed a victory and a second place finish to move behind Giard in the overall standings.
