The President of the Oceania Taekwondo Union John Kotsifas played a key role at the 29th edition of the South East Asian Games in Malaysia's capital city Kuala Lumpur.
The Australian served as technical delegate for the taekwondo tournament at the Games.
He was appointed to the role by global governing body World Taekwondo, to oversee management of the competition.
Taekwondo action took place at the Games between August 26 and 29, with 11 countries taking part.
The nations involved were Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, The Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Brunei and East Timor.
Kotsifas is also a vice president of World Taekwondo.
Gold medallists in Kuala Lumpur included Cambodia's Sorn Seavmey in the under-73 kilograms class.
Seavmey's gold medal at the 2016 Asian Taekwondo Olympic Qualification Tournament saw her become the first Cambodian to qualify by right for the Olympic Games.
