Qualifying formats have been determined for the 12th International Floorball Federation (IFF) Men's World Championships taking place in December, 2018 in Prague.

It will mark China's international debut as well as the first time Iran has participated in a IFF WFC Qualification event.

Both countries will participate in Group A of Asian qualifying alongside Australia, South Korea and Thailand.

Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia will lock horns in Group B.

Competition in both groups is due to take place between January 22 and 28 in Jeju Island, South Korea.

A total of 16 teams divided across four groups according to their rankings and ballot draw at the World Championships.

The tournament is due to take place between December 1 and 8 in 2018 with tickets going on sale later this year.

Matches are due to take place at the O2 Arena in the Czech capital city.

Finland defeated perennial rivals Sweden via a dramatic penalty shoot-out to win last year's World Championship, held in the Latvian capital of Riga.

Four European qualifying groups will take place this time around.

Estonia will host Group 1 in Tallinn between January 31 and February 4.

Hosts Finland will also feature there along with Poland, Belgium, The Netherlands and Liechtenstein.

Valmeira in Latvia will host Group 3 from January 20 until February 3.

Switzerland, Russia, Italy, Hungary and Iceland will also compete.

The top in each group will qualify along with the two best third placed teams.

Both other groups will be held in Nitra, Slovakia from January 31 until February 4.

Sweden, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia and France will play in Group 2 while the fourth group will consist of Denmark, Norway, Spain, Austria and Great Britain.

United States and Canada will also battle for the sole Americas slot in Ottawa between February 2 and 4.

Hosts Czech Republic qualify automatically.
