The Dutch hosts beat England 3-1 in the second semi-final. 

Belgium produced a flawless performance in the decisive shootout at the Wagener Stadium.

Lukas Windfeder had initially put the Germans ahead after scoring his fourth goal of the competition with a drag-flick into the top right corner over Florent van Aubel’s head.

Tom Boon - whose sister Jill scored the winner for Belgium's women against Germany yesterday - brought the scores level before half-time.

Sebastien Dockier then put the Belgians in the lead after 37 minutes before Benedikt Furk scored a late equaliser.

Felix Denayer and Victor Wegnez scored their shoot-outs for Belgium and Vincent Vanasch kept out all four German efforts.

"It’s a really great team effort to beat Germany," said man of the match Simon Gougnard.

"It’s never easy, especially in the end phase. 

"We worked really hard in our press and our really proud of our performance today."

It marks just the second time Belgium have made the final after winning silver in 2013.

Defending champions The Netherlands enjoyed more comfortable progress as they ensured the two results today were a carbon-copy of the women's semi-finals yesterday.

A Mink van der Weerden strike from a penalty corner was followed by a brace from Mirco Pruijser to the delight of the home fans.

Mark Gleghorne pulled one back from England but it proved nothing more than a late consolation.

The final is due to take place on Sunday (August 27) after the finale of the women's competition tomorrow.
