The duo of Kim Jongho and So Chaewon combined to beat Turkey's Demir Elmaagacli and partner Yesim Bostan 157-153.

Hosts Chinese Taipei claimed bronze after beating India 156-150.

Kim then won his second gold medal of the day around 20 minutes after the mixed team competition had concluded.

He beat Turkey's Elmaagacli once again to win the men's individual compound gold 146-145.

Croatia's Mario Vavro overcame Kim Taeyoon of South Korea 143-138 to win the bronze medal.

The fourth and final South Korean gold arrived when Song Yun Soo defeated Chinese Taipei's Chen Yi-Hsuan 146-143 in the women's individual compound final.

The two women from the mixed final earlier in the afternoon met in the bronze medal match where South Korea's So defeated Bostan of Turkey 144-141 to wrap up third place.

Russia were the only other victors today after winning the final of the men's team compound event.

They defeated Iran 232-227 after a fantastic performance which included 16 10s.

South Korea sealed the bronze though after defeating Mexico 235-223.

Chinese Taipei's Hung Wan-Ting delighted her home crowd by winning the women's 69 kilograms weightlifting gold medal today.

After posting a snatch lift of 101kg, combined with 126kg in the clean and jerk, she finished with a combined score of 227kg.

Kazakhstan's Karina Goricheva finished second, despite holding a dominant lead after the snatch section, on 226kg.

North Korea's Jong Chun Hui completed the podium on 218kg.

Just as Armenia’s Andranik Karapetyan looked set to walk away with the gold medal in the men’s 85kg competition, Kazakhstan's Denis Ulanov opened the clean and jerk stage with a 200kg lift.

He nailed it on the second attempt to leapfrog the Armenian into first place and win gold on a combined score of 365kg.

Karapetyan took silver on 364kg while South Korea's Jang Yeonhak completed the medal positions on 354kg.

The first athletics gold medals of Taipei 2017 were also awarded today.

Kyrgyzstan's Daria Maslova won the first in the women's 10,000 metres as she finished just under three seconds clear of second place in 33min 19.27sec.

India's Sanjivani Babur Jadhav ran a personal best to finish second in 33:22.00.

Ai Hosoda of Japan completed the top three in 33:27.89.

Portugal's Francisco Belo then claimed the men's shot put title.

His personal best of 20.86 metres proved too good for the rest of the field.

Konrad Bukowiecki of Poland finished in silver medal position on 20.16m with Romanian Andrei Marius Gag claiming bronze on 20.12m.

There were also four medals awarded in taekwondo today.

Iran's Hadi Tiranvalipour defeated Portugal's Rui Braganca 7-5 in the final of the men's under-58kg event.

Bronzes were shared by Tawin Hanprab of Thailand and Gulzhigit Kochkorbaev of Russia.

Thailand's Panipak Wongpattanakit breezed to the women's under-49kg taekwondo gold.

She cruised through the final to defeat Ipek Cidem of Turkey 16-4.

Mexico's Itzel Manjarrez and Kim Joohwi of South Korea, who Wongpattanakit defeated 36-8 in the semi-finals, shared the bronze medals.

The third taekwondo gold medal of this evening's session went the way of South Korean Kim Jandi in the women's under-67kg event.

She silenced the Chinese Taipei crowd by defeating local hope Chuang Chia-Chia 14-7 in the gold medal contest.

Victoria Catari Heredia Tamez of Mexico and Iranian Melika Mirhosseini both secured bronze medals.

Milad Beigi Harchegani of Azerbaijan won the fourth and final taekwondo gold medal of the night.

The Azeri won a narrow final against Spain's Raul Martinez Garcia 6-3 in the final of the men's under-80kg.

Richard Ordemann of Norway and Chinese Taipei’s Liu Wei-Ting shared the category's two bronze medals.
