The Czech Republic won the inaugural men's European Under-16 Softball Championship ©ESF

The Czech Republic won the inaugural men's European Under-16 Softball Championship on home soil in Prague.

The host nation went undefeated at the first-ever edition of the tournament, impressing their fans at Svoboda Park in the capital city. 

In the final, the Czechs breezed past Israel 15-0 with the match finishing after just three innings.

They also won their semi-final against Denmark with just three innings played.

The Danes recovered to finish third at the tournament, with Croatia fourth.

It proved to be a double celebration for the Czechs who also won the European Under-19 Championship which ran at the same time. 

They defeated Denmark 10-0 in the final and again went through the entire tournament without losing a match.

The Czechs hit four home runs in the final and failed to concede a run.

Israel finished third with Croatia fourth and Great Britain fifth.
