Organisers of next year's World University Beach Volleyball Championship in Munich have discussed their preparations with International University Sports Federation (FISU) beach volleyball technical delegate Mario Ferro.
FISU representative Julien Carrel and FISU Winter Universiade event manager, Jiho Kim, were also in attendance in the German city for the inspection.
One of the main topics of discussion focused on the layout of the centre court and how to incorporate it best into the newly constructed sports facilities.
More than 10 new beach volleyball courts will be built in the German city for the event.
It is claimed Ferro"was able to provide many insights and tips on how to achieve the perfect layout for the tournament".
It is hoped his contributions will improve the overall experience for players, spectators, management staff and volunteers.
Talks between German officials and the FISU delegation also varied from tournament protocol to catering and event staff.
"This was a big milestone in the planning of the Championships," Michael Hahn, head of Central University Sports in Munich, said.
"We are confident that we are on the right track and happy with the feedback.
"Especially helpful for me, was their input in regards to the layout of the centre court."
Action is due to take place next year between July 9 and 13.
