The German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) has extended its deal with Deutsche Bahn for the Pyeongchang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Deutsche Bahn AG is the official partner for mobility and its subsidiary, DB Schenker, will be the organisation's official logistics provider.

The extension was announced in Frankfurt.

"DB Schenker is a well-established organisation that has already looked after us at nine Olympic Games," said Michael Vesper, chairman of the DOSB Board.

"We are very pleased that we can continue to use the experience and flexibility of DB Schenker, which is in demand in major sporting events in distant countries.

"Together, we will work closely together in the coming months to provide the German athletes with the best possible conditions at Pyeongchang 2018. "

DB Schenker, based in Frankfurt, is mainly focused on logistics and transportation and has been a partner of the DOSB since the Sydney 2000 Games.

"We are pleased that we will continue to supply complete logistics services to the delegation from the DOSB along with the German houses at the next two Olympic Games in Asia," added Niklas Wilmking, head of air freight at DB Schenker.

"Our experienced team will support our athletes and associations with tailored logistics solutions on their way to the games."

The signing ceremony was attended by former slopestyle world champion Lisa Zimmermann.

The 21-year-old finished 14th in the slopestyle event at Sochi 2014 and will be aiming to improve on that in South Korea next year.
