Sonja Janssen-Sahebzad, Detlef Schwarz, Dong Gun Kim, Jamie Lee Carpenter and Soo Ji Choi all successfully completed the course which was held before the New Zealand Open in Auckland.

Along with this, a total of 29 people also passed the Oceania Taekwondo Union coaching course, including Carpenter, Janssen Sahebzad and Choi.

“TNZ remains committed to further developing our athletes, coaches and officials and is please to remind the successful members that the cost of their course fee will be reimbursed by TNZ,” a spokesperson for the national governing body said.

“Congratulations to all who passed their courses.

“We look forward to your ongoing participation as officials and sharing this knowledge with members.”
