The United States continued their impressive performances at the 2017 World Flying Disc Federation World Championships of Beach Ultimate today in Royan.

Their men’s squad remained dominant in Pool A of the competition, winning all three ties today.

Switzerland were the first victims as they lost 13-6, before the US overcame Japan 13-1.

A third victory came against Denmark, with the American team securing a 13-7 triumph.

With the US having won all eight matches to date, they moved clear at the top of the pool, with Spain, Russia and Canada following on five wins and two defeats.

The Philippines are yet to lose any of their matches to date in Pool B, although they narrowly overcame Ireland 12-11 in their closest contest of the day.

With eight wins they head the standings, while Australia and France have six wins and two defeats.

Each team have played six matches in the women’s pool stages, with the US and Spain enjoying success to date.

They lead Pool A, as both sides have achieved victories in all of their games.

Russia are the sole team in Pool B with a 100 per cent record, with three teams vying for second position.

Britain, Switzerland and France have achieved four wins, but they have also tasted defeat on two occasions.
