The Guatemala Olympic Committee (COG) held a training camp for coaches as part of preparations for the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.

More than 150 sporting professionals attended over three days in Retalhuleu in the south-west of the country.

This was the second training camp, with the first held in the Central American nation in December.

The aim of both camps was to provide coaches with the skills needed to develop young talent for Buenos Aires 2018.

Lectures and physical tests were part of the training camp.

Guatemala are hoping to integrate more of their young athletes into the qualification process for the next edition of the Youth Olympics in Argentina's capital.

The country sent 20 athletes to the last Summer Youth Games in Nanjing in China in 2014.

Both came in mixed nationality events where athletes are assigned with competitors from other countries.

Madrid was third in the mixed team 10 metre air pistol competition with Agate Rasmane of Latvia.

Brand's bronze came in the team jumping as part of the combined North American line-up, featuring athletes from five countries.

Competition in Buenos Aires will take place between October 6 and 18.
