Brazil's most decorated Paralympian Daniel Dias will be competing at the Para Swimming World Series in Indianapolis, where action is due to begin tomorrow.

Around 150 athletes from 18 countries will take part in the penultimate World Series event, which is due to conclude on Sunday (June 11) in the American city.

Twenty-nine-year-old Dias is a 14-time Paralympic gold medallist and won four home titles at last year's Games in Rio de Janeiro in the S5 classification.

Indianapolis will be his second event of the season after he won three golds at the Loterias Caixa Swimming Open Championships in April.

The American crowd will be hopeful of success as triple Rio 2016 gold medallists Rebecca Meyers and McKenzie Coan are among the home squad.

North American rivals Canada will also be confident of success, however, through Paralympic champion Katarina Roxon and Rio 2016 silver medallist Tess Routliffe.

Action is due to take place at the Indiana University Natatorium, which has hosted various Olympic swimming trials since it opened in 1982.

The pool has recently benefited from a $20 million (£15.4 million/€17.8 million) renovation.

Competitors are entering the final stage of their preparations for this year's World Championships, which will take place in Mexico City from September 30 to October 6.
